Réveillon 2014

These January travels in Brazil deserve a post all to their own. Feeling teary after getting back from a wonderful Christmas back in the UK I made my way back home to Olinda. After many weary hours spent sleeping in Sao Paulo airport and on the plane I finally got home, only to pack my bags and hop on the bus to Rio Grande do Norte to spend New Years with Renato, Bya, Andrea and Ana (and half the adolescent population of Natal) in Pirangi. Somehow, all five of us managed to get to Santa Rita, a beach town to the north of Natal, to stay with Ana’s quasi godmother Ju. Four glorious days of white sand, blue sea and epic walks along the bay and up and down sand dunes. An unforgettable 10 days.
